What's supposedly going on in there this week...

So...according to my weekly email....

Your baby has really plumped up. It weighs about 6.8 pounds and is over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). It has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold its hand for the first time! It's organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb. Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? If it's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If it's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time it's 9 months old.

The firm grasp - yep - I feel like I can attest to that because the baby, as I think I have said before, is using my bladder as a hand strengthening toy! It will be interesting to see what color eyes it ends up having....mine are blue (Grenert trait!) and Chris's are a hazel...not a true brown....we've already had lots of the the "I hope it gets X from you..." conversations - I'm praying it gets it height genes from Chris and other members of our extended family who are all above the five foot two range that I fall into! We are betting on blonde hair for the "toddler version" as we were both blonde as babies...when we did the 3D ultrasound we could clearly see lots of hair so it should be interesting to see what it comes out with!
